Q: WHAT ARE THE FEES FOR CAMP VERITAS?

A: The fees for Camp Veritas are listed on the home page. Take note that each site has an early bird rate, which is good if payment is made in full at the time of registration and "pay in full" is selected as the payment type by APRIL 1st (new policy and date!). After that date, the discount will automatically expire. The fees do not include travel to or from the camps. One of our goals is to keep the costs as low as possible for you and in order to do that, we continually review our contracts with the facilities we rent to try to keep costs down. There is a minimum of $100.00 deposit to hold your reservation which can be paid at time of your application or mailed in as a check or money order.  Final payments are due no later than 30 days prior to USA camps and by May 1st for Ireland.  Invoices will be sent out for your convenience approximately 60 days prior to each camp week. Q: WHAT IF MY CHILD IS ATTENDING AS PART OF A PARISH GROUP?

A: If you are registering and planning to attend as part of a parish group, you must still sign your child up by visiting our registration page. Part of your registration will ask for a payment option and price.  If you have already made arrangements with your parish, select "Parish Payment Program" in the payment option section of your application and describe your payment plans.  Note that a $100 deposit is required to hold your spot. 

 

 

Q: WHAT IS THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE POLICY OF CAMP VERITAS?

A: As the father of 8 children, I can most definitely appreciate how expensive things are, especially when involving numerous children.  I then ask myself the simple question which helps me prioritize with what I spend my limited resources, "Will my money invested help my child's ability to choose eternity with God or not?"  The answer then becomes very clear. Camp Veritas is an entirely volunteer organization in which all staff give of their time, energy and talents for your children without a dime in return. Your children are able to come for a fee that is literally at cost for us.

 

Regarding Camp Veritas, we do everything in our absolute power to keep the rates down for everybody.  To put things into perspective, the tuition of kids that go to Camp Lakota as their regular camp is $1000 per week/ $7000 per summer.  For students going to Mount Saint Mary College, tuition with room and board is $38,000 per year.  It is because of our 100% volunteer staff, that enables Camp Veritas to charge as little as $450 per week per camper.  Every dollar of tuition is spent to benefit the teens.

I understand that for many families, $450 OR $500 is still difficult,  especially when the family is attempting to send more than one teen to camp. 

 

NO TEEN HAS EVER BEEN DENIED ATTENDANCE TO CAMP VERITAS DUE TO THE INABILITY TO PAY TUITION. 

 

That said, as a non-profit organization, we really do not have a formal scholarship program and we can not afford to supplement every request.  We ask all those who need assistance to first ask their pastor if your parish would help out.  Many of those in the pews would also be willing to invest in the future of the Church.  Another place to inquire for help is the Knights of Columbus.  They are usually more than willing to off-set a portion of the fees.

If those avenues have been exhausted, let us know and we will find a way to help you.  In short, plan on your child attending and register your child to hold a reservation at Camp Veritas with at least $100 of your child's fee.  Complete the application and on the "Payment Section," select "Other" and please provide details of your financial plan.

 

Q: HOW DO I SPONSOR A CHILD TO ATTEND?

A: Donations are always welcome and can be made by visiting our Donations Page.  There you will find instructions on making a donation.  If you are making the donation for a specific camper, please make sure to include the camper's name on your check or in the comments section of the PayPal link.    

 

Q: CAN I MAKE PAYMENTS OVER TIME?

A: Yes, you can make payments over time by using the payment instructions above or through your Camp-in-Touch account. Please be sure to always indicate the camper name in the comments.
